Lost on the Range

I decided to name this blog Lost on the Range, because that's exactly what I am.
I live in the middle of nowhere, in my birth town, in North Texas. But it's not where my heart belongs. Funny thing is, I don't know where my heart belongs. But I'm looking! Will you come on the journey with me?

I don't want a blog full of angst, bitterness and discord. But sometimes, life hands you lemons. As a wise woman once told me, make lemonade. From my ramblings, you might find something to take with you. Maybe you won't. But at least I can say I tried.

I haven't been feeling so good about myself the last few days. In fact, thoughts of depression have filled me to the brim. Hopefully my mood will lift as the days drift on towards the end of the year.

I'll leave you with an epitaph I really like.

"Remember mortal man, as you pass by.
As you are now, so once was I.
As I am now, so you must be.
Prepare for death, and follow me."
-on the grave of Calvin Johnston (1796-1859)
